ABOUT CTSCH
The Central Texas Society of Clinical Hypnosis provides hypnosis and related training and networking opportunities to licensed professionals and graduate students in health and mental health fields of study and practice. CTSCH was established 1992, and is a recognized component society of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, the largest international multi-disciplinary society of licensed professionals who utilize hypnosis.
Since the onset of COVID our quarterly meetings have been in the form of 120-minute webinars that provide training sessions in a variety of hypnosis and related topics. The annual membership fee is $85. Renewing and new members will be able to attend all of the quarterly meetings during the calendar year with access to all recorded training videos and audio files for no additional charge.
The non-members fee for regular quarterly presentations is $45 and graduate students can attend for $10. As you can see, a yearly membership is a pretty good deal. All meetings offer continuing education credits for Texas social workers, LPCs, LMFTs, and psychologists and are ASCH-accredited toward membership and certification requirements. CTSCH is open to licensed health and mental health professionals with a graduate degree, and graduate students enrolled in clinical training programs.

WHAT DOES HYPNOSIS TRAINING AND EXPERTISE OFFER YOU AS A PROFESSIONAL?
If you are a member of CTSCH or a regular attendee, you already know about the diverse ways hypnotic skills can assist you in helping your clients and patients. Unfortunately, some professionals think of hypnosis only as a narrow set of procedures, rather than seeing it as the multi-faceted form of communication that can skillfully be used to empower other modalities. Gaining hypnotic skills does much more than provide you with the ability to use hypnotic inductions. It offers a meta-set of skills that one can efficiently apply in conjunction with a wide array of therapeutic techniques relevant in multiple clinical settings. For example, recent research identifies strong therapeutic effects from adding hypnosis to EMDR, CBT, and Mindfulness methodologies. I have studied hypnosis for close to 40 years years, and continue to be pleasantly surprised and amazed at how helpful it can be in both understanding a client’s experience and as a generative and integrative tool for change.
